Unsere Gemeinschaft
With God for the people

Our community has existed since 1925. The foundation on which we stand today is the legacy of our founder, Mother Mathilde. It means recognizing the will of God in our time and serving people joyfully and selflessly following the example of the Mother of God and Saint Elizabeth of Thuringia.
Caring for the family, for mothers and children, for sick, poor and old people were the central tasks of our community of sisters back in 1925 when Mathilde Otto founded the Elisabeth Sisters. After the Second World War, the service in St. Elisabeth Hospital and in numerous nurses' stations in southern Germany became the main task of the sisters. Since 1974, this "service to life", which has its roots in Freiburg, has also blossomed in many bright colors of human care in India. The seed that once began to germinate with the order of our founder has been allowed by God, through his love and faithfulness, to grow into a wide-spreading tree in Germany and India.
Our sisters have set up over 19 different stations in India and support families and especially children across all religions who would otherwise have no chance.
We would be very grateful for donations to enable us to continue this work.
We believe that every woman should accept herself,
define their future and change the world.
our mission
One of the main focuses of the work of the Elisabeth Sisters is the promotion of the upbringing and education of disadvantaged children and families in India and Germany.

They also take care of the welfare and care of sick and elderly people.
